The Adventures of Shatoosh and Pashmina

Shatoosh, an Albin 25 HN 1124, and Pashmina, a 9 foot Porta Bote have cruised over 8,500nm on 70 navigable waterways in the California Delta, the Columbia, Snake, Willamette Rivers and the Salish Sea of Washington and British Columbia. In 2011 they crossed the Columbia River bar to cruise the Washington coast and in 2012 they replicated Peter Puget's 1792 exploration of the southern waters of Puget Sound. In 2015 and 2016 the boats were sold. In 2018 Shatoosh was sold again and is in AZ.

Proposed Route

Joyce arrives from Arizona tonight. We are both very excited to see each other and begin our long awaited journey. I have been anticipating and planning this trip for years; looking at charts, talking to people, taking the Lady Washington Tall Ship from Port Townsend to Gray's Harbor to test my ole sea legs.

We are beginning from the Warrenton Boat Yard on the Skipanon River.

This is an old route from last fall. But we will be following the blue route line out to C "1" which is farther out to sea than buoy R"8" that I took.
