Tacoma Maritime Fest August 24-25, 2013

While August is 6 months away, Shatoosh, Pashmina and Hira are gearing up for this event. We will have a booth on the Foss Waterway to promote our Adventures and The Peter Puget Memorial Project. I was told to make it interactive for kids, so I have collected a duffle bag full of ideas, but will keep the wraps on it for now.

From feedback from my faceless blog readers( FBR) their's and my favorite  picture on the blog is Marsha Matta's Caricature of us crossing the Columbia River Bar. Jean, my crew and twin, said, "remember a long time ago you had a puzzle made". I had forgotten. so I went online and looked around and chose this site to create my puzzle. I am so happy with the product, nice, tight pieces.

Hokule'a- Polynesian Voyaging Society

The Hokule'a will be departing Honolulu in June 2013 for a 3 year Round the World voyage teaching about the care of the ocean and ancient voyaging techniques. Her new consort vessel is Hikianalia. This is a chance for all of us to volunteer, donate and track her route. Take a look.

A New Blog

Today is a big day. I am creating a new blog which will cover the Peter Puget Memorial Project.
I will be using that blog specifically for the project.

Albin 25 Wanted

Sharon is looking to buy an Albin 25. John, her brother has been researching Albins and together they have decided the Albin 25 is Sharon's choice of boats. This past week I learned John has been a faithful, faceless blog reader for some time which pleases me when a real person appears on my dock ready to talk "Albin". Boy, talk we did, hours of fun passed quickly. John and Sharon hit the I-5 corridor from Portland, Oregon to Bellingham, Wa and ended their trip with seeing their first 2 Albins.

Sharon wants an Albin 25 with a trailer.  She is just beginning her search. So if any of you Albin owners are sitting on the fence thinking about selling your boat, now is the time to pony up, put her on the market and contact Sharon at: goldsworthy.sharon@comcast.net.

Good luck and let us know what you find. The Albin family is ready to help.
