I can't begin to believe my emails. Its all about diapers. I have added to my email influx the Albin Yahoo Group. In the last few days several messages and commentaries started to surface regarding diapers. One man who apparently owns an Albin 27(American version), signed with the title of Diaper Research Proctor and Gamble. I don't know if this was a joke or if, in fact, he does work for Proctor and Gamble.
At any rate, he is suggesting that purchasing boys pampers and some ductape just might save your day on the water or help with your maintenance. He continues to say if a hose springs a leak and you need to get back to your marina that taping a diaper on to the hose, be it water or fuel, will act as a container for the liquid and the plastic liner will prevent any liquids from going into the bilge. Also, when taking off your fuel or oil filters just wrap you diaper around the filter and presto it falls into a self contained container. How clever is that?
Someone said, "I didn't know there was a difference between boys and girls pampers", but apparently the boys version have more padding in front, while the girl's version had more padding in the center. This makes sense, perhaps you might have a selection so you could choose depending on the type of leak you have.
I'm headed back to Shatoosh and Pashmina, so more interesting tidbits will be coming your way.
